Here are some help to guest post on Average Advocate:

  • Chose one of three focuses:
    • Changing the world internationally, such as issues that affect the developing world (extreme poverty, international aid, slavery, refugees, conflict).
    • Change for social good, like loving the poor and oppressed.
    • Loving your neighbor, such how to live in community.
  • What is your goal?
    • Informing or create awareness?
    • Encouraging us?
    • Giving tangible ideas for action?
    • Reviewing a resources, like a book, organization, or documentary?
  • Don’t just complain about the state of the world. Instead reflect characteristics of compassion, love, and a desire for things to be made right, or just.
  • Hahaha! Humor? Try to be funny! We don’t want to be too depressing.
  • Your audience is for the average person from the Rich World- therefore please assume we are not all up on everything activist.
  • Make it clear when it is just your opinion.
  • Be credible! Use references for information that is not widely known and/or controversial.
  • Ideal postings should have a read time of three minutes or less.
  • Although it is okay for these elements to be discussed and questioned on the average advocate, this website is NOT focused on just motherhood, world missions, or promoting political parties. There are plenty of other good websites dedicated to these things!
  • After posting, please share the link to what you wrote to your network (via Facebook, Twitter, your blog, website, email, etc . . .). We want this to spread!

After you pitch an idea to me, when you send me your guest post please include a brief bio and link to your website and/or twitter feed.

Thanks for donating your energy and effort to share your story!
